New Moon Entry 4

Title: New Moon

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Pages: 252-323/ 563

Date: 11/24

Summary: Bella went to see Jacob. She got sick of waiting. The changes in him were drastic to say the least. But he wasn’t alone; no he was with Sam and his pack. And Jacob now knows about the Cullens’ and how they are vampires! Oh God, that is sooo not good! That night, Jacob came to see Bella(by jumping through the window) and asked her if she remembered the stories, the ones he told her on the beach. But she couldn’t remember them all, only the vampire one. In her dreams, Bella had a dream about Jacob being a werewolf, and remembered the story he had told her! The next day she goes to see him and tells him she knows about him and Jacob can sense right away that she isn’t happy about it. Jacob tells Bella how him and his pack killed Laurent. And that the red head is now here, and Bella tells Jacob that her name is Victoria and all about her. And then it is off to meet the rest of the pack!

Favorite Line: “If you want to blame someone, why don’t you point your finger at those filthy, reeking bloodsuckers that you love so much?” I love this line because Jacob is usually such a sweetheart to Bella but then it’s like all of a sudden something snapped in him. It just shows he’s not perfect.

Another Fav Line: “Well, I’m so sorry that I can’t be the right kind of monster for you, Bella. I guess I’m just not as great as a bloodsucker, am I?” WELL! That was awkward… yet totally called for from Jacob.

Random Thought: Have I mentioned how much I love Jacob in the book?! In the movies I’m kinda iffy about him at first. I think he’s an acquired taste, like tofu. But I like his character in the books more than I do in the movies. Yet I still love him in the movies! Really…I just keep reading and falling in love with Jacob, I think this is positively the book that caused so many Jacob fans!
